great access to parks and museums for weekend walkers
I really enjoyed my stay here last week, as the free breakfast was a nice start to my day, and the staff was super helpful in directing me to nearby attractions like the Harry W. Meador Jr. Coal Museum and Bullitt Park, which are just a short walk away and perfect for exploring while enjoying the fresh air.

I really loved starting each day with a delicious breakfast featuring perfectly cooked scrambled eggs and sausage. The indoor pool area was quite chilly, but I still enjoyed my stay overall. The views from the hotel were amazing and worth every penny!

The indoor heated saltwater pool received a lot of appreciation and added to the overall relaxing atmosphere. Rustic lodge decor complemented the spacious rooms, contributing to a cozy vibe that's hard to find elsewhere.
The mattress in my Standard 2 Queens room definitely needs replacing as it lacked the comfort I'd hope for on a long night. Some guests mentioned that their mattresses felt newer, so perhaps the hotel is in the process of updating them. Noise from neighboring rooms could be bothersome. I noticed sounds from above during the night that some might find disruptive. While it offers a charming retreat, nearby dining options are limited, often leading you to settle for fast food. Breakfast seating was a bit cramped during busy hours, making it a challenge to find a comfortable spot.

Cozy stay in the mountains
I loved my stay! The staff was super friendly and helped me find places to grab a bite. I was there for work, and the cleaning crew was awesome—always made sure I had what I needed. The views here are stunning, and I really enjoyed the picnic area outside. One thing though, my room was kinda small for two weeks.
